Blackboard Discussion Boards
Led by: April Rau
Where: Studio 521, Dimond Library
When:
Mon., December 14, 2009, 11:00am-12:00pm
Discussion boards can help you build learning communities in even the largest classes. Through discussion, students can collaborate and debate, explore and reflect, report and review. In this session, we will examine the Blackboard threaded discussion tool, explain its general functionality, define threaded discussion, and explore just how these discussion boards work. We'll consider guidelines for use and then practice creating forums, opening and posting to threads, and reviewing and managing student postings. Faculty are encouraged to bring their own course materials to the training. New Blackboard users are invited to register for Blackboard QuickStart (see course catalogue for next available dates).
